Sausage made of highest quality pure Iberian pork loin that has acquired its last 6 ‘pounds’ (69 kg) during the “montanera” (period of the acorn harvest between November and March) freely feeding exclusively on acorns and grass on the meadows of Extremadura. Seasoned for 48 hours with sweet paprika or garlic and stuffed into natural casings with butter. Period of maturation with natural drying 6 months.

Iberian pork is an important content of monounsaturated fatty acids, especially oleic acid. Should Always choose food with a low-fat, although, in the diet is so important to the quality of fats as the amount. The content of oleic acid in olive oil or avocado is known by most people. Their presence is not as known in the Iberian pork, rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, mainly in oleic acid, whose proportion in total fat, is higher than 45%. This means that it is a lean meat, moderate in calories and easy digestibility, and reduced saturated fatty acid content.

¿Por qué congelamos la carne?

Los cerdos ibéricos alimentados de bellotas y hierbas de la dehesa son sacrificados exclusivamente durante los meses de enero, febrero y marzo que es cuando termina la temporada de aprovechamiento de la bellota, tambien llamada "montanera". Durante esos tres meses País de Quercus envasa y ultracongela (-41ºC)  todas las carnes de la campaña para que puedas disfrutar de ellas durante todo el año sin que las mismas sufran ningún detrimento de calidad.
